I really want a Gallarado, but how much do they cost a year? How much should you be making a year to be able to afford your Gallarado?
Hopefully someone can answer, thanks!

**** it. Buy it....If you're talking about a ~2006 Gallardo?
What's the worst that's going to happen? Lose ten thousand bucks if you keep it a year and resell it?? That's not alot of money in the grand scheme of things. They are pretty much depreciated already. If you want it...Buy it if it makes you happy. |

This person went on to say that, "if you make over $100,000 a year and don't have the financial where-withal to budget your monthly expenses vs income and then arrive at an answer to 'can I afford it?'... then you can't afford it... you can't afford to make a decision when you have such a deep lack of understanding and deficit of insight." I'm sure I read that somewhere...

What amazes me is how many people come to a forum to ask this type of question. It would seem you need a certain level of understanding of finances, and you probably DON'T get it from a forum.
I post in very few of these threads but it seems there is an endless supply. I might be more likely to ask my accountant, or my financial advisor(s), but not a forum. There are too many variables, too many philosophies on how conservative or liberal one should be with their money (assuming they have money). |

Tough to answer this question since there are so many variables. Own your own home with no mortgage? Solid job with good pay or own your own company with steady growth? Married/kids? Also depends on how old the Lambo is, 2+ years old will already have a big chunk of depreciation gone so you could keep it for a year then sell it for what you paid or close. Think of it this way: you could buy a brand new Ford truck for 50K, then a year later it's worth 40K, you could buy a 4 year old Gallardo for 180K and a year later it might be worth 170K (of course this all depends on how clean it was when you bought and how it was treated when you owned it etc). So you can lose 10K driving a Ford truck or a Gallardo.

The OP is 14 years old! It's tough to limit what kinds of questions we get with these youngins!
I say forget about Lamborghinis kid, focus on your grades and how to get into girls panties!

The $100k and the Lambo can't hurt... just sayin'.
