Hi There,

Can someone here please educate me how to determine the different version of 06 model. How do I tell whether it is the update one with 520hp , different gear ratio etc form the outlook? I am currently looking at a 06 European model but dont have a clue how to tell the difference.

the VIN will help.

Brake light in spoiler indicates newer model also, IIRC.

The 10th character of the VIN indicates the model year so if it is 4 or 5 the car is an early model with 500hp if it is 6, 7 or 8 it is a 520hp one

thank you so much. Is it a false assumption that all 2006 are being updated?

it seems 04-05 are the one with the high mounted brake light and, at least from the web, that all 06 models have the spoiler mounted one?

my 06 has it in the spoiler
