Default Short Guy in a Murci?

Ok, so I have a 2008 G now and considering a change - mainly because I want a manual rather than the e-gear. So its either find a used G for about the same money and basically "swap", or step up to a 2007-2008 Murci. My preference is the Murci. However, I'm not sure I will fit. I'm 5'4" and fit in the G very well. But the Murci seems like a bigger car - and not sure about good visibility, etc. I've never even sat in one as I'm just now considering the change - and have all winter to make up my mind and find the right car. I used the search function but all I could find were tall guys asking the same question (oh...to have the "problem" of being 6'4"). At any rate, the questions are 1) does anyone have personal experience with being vertically challenged and driving a Murci or 2) if anyone can find the threads that match my question, I'd appreciate the help.
Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris

You would fit fine in the Murcielago. If you watch Top Gear, Richard Hammond test drives the new Roadster and had no issues. He is 5' 6". The cars are really designed for smaller people. There are tons of threads on how to widen seats, gain headroom and get seats moved further back. So I can pretty much guarantee that you will be fine. Best way to find out is to go and drive one and see if you like it. Please let us know the outcome!

Hi Chris, I am 5'-4" and fit well on a Murcie. Visibility could be your issue. It is just a matter of getting used to it.

Thanks for the feedback from both of you. I was actually thinking sending you a PM Walt as I know you traded up from a G to a Murcie not too long ago. Had no idea you were my size - so really appreciate your comments. It will be a long winter and will give me lots to think about....best advise is to do is drive one....so off to a warm climate sometime soon.
Thanks again
Chris

I agree on test driving the Murcie in person. That way you will experience yourself the size, power as well as visibility.

I think Lambo is not built for big guys, at least the Gallardo or Murci, but I saw some big guys driving these cars. Don't know how they fit. I heard Kobe Bryant got a LP640 and Shaq has a modified Gallardo.

Default Fit

I am 6'6" and you may want to try what I never hesitate to do...

I machined a new set of sub mounting plates for the seat, lowering mine,
and I can squeeze in now.

You can easily build in and inch or two of height to achieve the perfect fit.

Care must be taken about correct strength metal choice for the part,
and I suggest looking inot this...no liability here of course, express or
implied.

best,

michael

I guess I should have closed my thoughts on this post....sorry. As some of you know, I did trade the G for a Murcie. Love it! And my height was not an issue. May even have one more notch on the seat adjustment to spare. Thanks for all the advice....and for once in my life I'm glad I'm glad I'm not 6'5"..... or a boner breath for that matter (OK, probably stretching too many posts together with that weak attempt a humor).
