Default Murcielago Roadster Softtop Question

My Dads boss wants to buy a murcielago Roadster. And both him and me want to know is the soft top roof hard to put on and take off. How long it would normaly take to put on and take off. And if it could all be done with one person or would he need help.

Thanks L-talk

Default roadster soft-top

In my humble opinion, the Murcielago Roadster roof is quite the pain, and definitely much easier to take on and off with the help of another person. Practice makes perfect and it does become much easier putting it on and taking it off after you've done it a few times.... Once experienced and with help, it should only take a few minutes.

Yeah and it still looks like crap. They had a second model year to fix it and failed.

Yep..it is really a shame on such a car...and suprisingly, the Audi cars soft tops and convertible systems are simply perfect !..

But, with the roof off, it is the most beautiful exotic made!?!

As I said earlier, it's funny how a 200+MPH car's speed is governed by the roof, either on or off you can't do it. Embarrassing to say the LEAST, and something to give the other car makers to poke fun at

Harsh yes, but can this car be taken very serious with this problem?

It wasn't supposed to have a top !
The car was designed without one !
A barchetta ! Remember the the show car in Detroit in 2003?
There is no embarrassment to Lamborghini at all - NON - ZIP - NADA!!
We are blessed that they productized it as they did.
Even with a makeshift top!
They were being nice to add the top that they did.
I wouldn't have done even that!
The LP640 Roadster is supposed to have a better roof.
Rumor has it that is will be announced in late November.
The only auto show that I know of in late November is the LA Auto Show
12/1-10/2006 (public) with Media Day 11/29-30/2006. The dates line
up with the rumor. But they're only rumors. You might want to tell
your dad's boss to watch this show for any Lambo developments.
No guarantees. Dealerships might know.

Larry
