Talking Murcielago Purchase

I am contemplating purchasing a 2003 Murcie. I have owned a Gallardo and currently own a 360 Spider. Would love some feedback from Murcie owners as to the experience. One of my questions is in regards to front end overhang. Is it longer than the Gallardo? Is it lower than the Gallardo? I am aware of the ability to raise the front end, but I have gone over some intersections where the Gallardo scraped the cement. I know that visibility isn't perfect, but is driving this car around town difficult? There are many back roads where I live, so there are opportunities to stretch it out. I have read varying opinions on reliability with the Murcie. What are they? I live 3 hours from Lambo of Atlanta and was curious as to how they are to deal with. The 360 is a breeze to drive, but I like Lambos for their rather outragious looks. Would love some input. Thanks.

Smile Murcielago

Hi Micheal,

I own a brand new Murcielago E-gear 2006 and have had it for 3 - 4 months, firstly the front of the murcie is longer than the Gallardo and the height from the front theres not that much diffrence as far as i could tell, other than the fact that the Murcie can lift 45mm. But saying that i scraped the front of my car 2 weeks in when i forgot about the lifting mechanism, i have driven a 360 spider before and theres alot of diffrence between them.

The size and the power is what you will notice straight away, the F-360 you know exactly how long or wide it is but on the murcie at first it could be deceptive because when driving the car its nimble and drives like a car smaller car but when you push it you can feel the weight and the size. In my opinion its too heavy.

Driving around town is not a problem as long as you understand the size of the car and its also very loud and you will not be using 2nd gear or any that proceed it so you,ll be in 1st most of the time. Low power band is great on the Murcie all the way up too 7,500RPM in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear but im not impressed with 5th and 6th gear acceleration it feels like something is being dragged behind it IMHO, because it doesnt build up speed as i want. Saying that i refer back to the weight problem.

Reliability i would say is much better than any ferrari i know of or have owned, the only problem i,ve had is the central locking problem which comes and goes i,ve had the acuators changed and no further problems have occured.

Hope this has helped.

But overall a much better car than the F-360

Im not going to trade in yet as i would loose money on the car, but will test drive the LP640 and then decide if its worth sticking to a murcielago.

Well, now do you like the Murci better?

Please let us know the direct comparison between the G and the M. Trying to decide between them myself.

Thanks!
