Default Switched to the "Dark Side"

Hey all,

Can I say I switched to the Dark Side if I still have a Ferrari?
I have been shopping for an upgrade from a Ferrari 348 for a few weeks now.
This site is partially responsible for my decision. It was either going to be a Lamborghini or a 360.

Anyway, I just purchased a 6.0, so any tips, do's and don'ts are welcome.

Thanks,
Frank

Default Thanks

Roy,

Thanks again for calling me back.
I feel relieved now that we spoke.
This was a big decision for me.

As I mentioned, I've been listening to you guys for quite some time now. And as your phone call has proven, the comradery here is impressive.

I'll tell everyone about the whole experience after it gets delivered next week. Including the part about the first air trip in my adult life!

Thanks,
Frank

Default Jinx

I didn't even show my wife a picture yet.
This is so big for me, I keep telling everyone that I'll believe it when I see it here at my home.

Of course Roy knows the car, but you guys will have to wait for the details.
I will say that a famous race car driver originally owned it. It's kind of cool, but I was reminded by someone here that "these cars are so expensive new that it's not uncommon for them to be once owned by someone famous". I agree, but I'm glad it wasn't Ozzi Osbourn!

It just got on the truck to be delivered here by Friday.
And I'm not real comfortable with the truck driver moving it in and out of the trailer while he picks up and delivers other cars.

Default The wait is over

It finally arrived at my home tonight.
It was quite a project backing it out of the trailer because of width. The trucker had to guide me while my two sons held the ramp cables out of the way.

And it seems you guys are right... These cars don't like to sit long.
It was in the back of a trailer for a week.
When I went to move it, the gas pedal would not come up after it was depressed.
I've never driven a Lamborghini before so I'm not sure if the throttle is usually sluggish when cold.
I had to manually close the throttles at the engine.
It was fine after I restarted it and warmed it up, but now the check engine light is on.

I know it's no big deal, but it's going to be a little embarrassing when I have to send it away to get the check engine light turned off. I can here my friends and family now... sooo how much was that car?

I'm new at these cars, so any input would be helpful.

Thanks,
Frank
