Default super dumb instrument question

i dont have a manual yet so can someone enlighten me as to what the button on the bottom right of the general light cluster do ? the 2 triangular ramp shapes

sorry for the dumb question....

What year is this car and where exactly are the buttons - are they in the center console? Sounds like the shock settings.

above the gear shift in the rectangular panel of switches where there are the lights buttons, gas cap etc, its the bottom right buttom and it has a a pic of 2 ramp type triangles one on top of each other

i pressed it and i could feel nothing, i thought it might raise the front but it an early model 1993

They adjust the intrument panel lighting intensity.
