Default sensor between intake manifold and air cleaner

Hello All,

I have low intake manifold pressure and the large hose on each side from the manifold to a sensor then out to the air filter box has full manifold vaccuum at the air filter box. Im guessing that there is a membrane in the sensor that is broken but want to verify that there should not be full manifold perssure on the hose that connects to the filter box. and if someone can tell me what the sensor is that is connected to it... it is physically attached to the valve cover.

thanks for your help and time!

steve.
