I'm replacing the orginal tires on my 97 VT roadster. The front are 235/40 17 and the rear are 335/35 17. I found out tonight that Pirelli does not make a 235/40 17 anymore. Michelin makes both of these sizes in their Pilot Sport brand and I've heard good things about them. What is everyone with Diablo's using and any suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion. I did the search and found that some members have had luck going one size up from the 40 to the 45. Anyone using the Michelin?

I've never heard a member say that they switched to the Michelin's.

It might be worth a try but be careful with tread pattern, in the past some Michelins caused a lot of road noise (all the Ferrari Michelins).

Update: Put on Michelin Pilot Sports and they are doing well. Good grip and ride is smooth. A lot of people get in the car thinking that it's going to be a bumpy ride. Once we get going, first thing out of their mouth is how smooth the ride is.

Since I got mine, just noticed the SV is 18", roadster 17". Didn't even think they'd be different.

Pirelli do make 235/40/17.. I just got 2 yesterday.. P Zero Nero... They look allot different from the old Asimetricol... I spoke with Pirelli about these on the phone for quite a while about the old and new...

For the U.K., maybe yes. For the U.S.- definitely not.

This is good to know because Tire & Wheel questions come up all the time!
