Haven't seen too much of that yellow roadster, so I have no opinion about it.. Could it be an extra air-intake for a supercharger ?

It never ceases to amaze me that so many think it's ok to tell others what they can or cannot do with their own property.

Freedom is gasping its last breath.

On another forum, someone has a byline that says something like, "Not driving your (whatever car) is like not having sex with your current girlfriend to preserve her for her next boyfriend"....or something like that. Same applies here with mods.

In case any of you have not noticed, ANYTHING is reversible. Ever seen barnfind basket case wrecks being restored to show condition? Yeah, I have too. You may not like it, but I highly doubt any of those Japanese owners are losing any sleep being concerned about what you think.

Well....if we're splitting hairs, there's the gray area of perception between telling someone what they cannot do (i.e. taking freedoms away), and providing a negative commentary. I understand that those guys are having fun and enjoying themselves, which is good. And it's true that it doesn't matter to them if anyone thinks their Diablos look trashed (count me in).

Your point is well taken that everything is reversible to some extent, but we can't keep the audience from crying foul any more than we can stop those strobes from attracting Diablos to Japan. Like a neighbor with loud music, I suppose we would like to draw the line somewhere. Since this isn't a big enough deal to start enacting laws, there will continue to be two sides to it that will forever disagree. I'm just curious if the economic tides ever turn and classic Diablos come back to the US for restoration from Japan...what will the barn find threads look like then!?

You wrote once (Taurean Bull)
"I know I'm an extremely opinionated guy, and I'm probably a PIYA, so that's my beef to deal with. "

Me too Taurean. And I don't see why we cannot have an opinion .. no let's say why we can't JUDGE taste.

When I started this thread I wanted to change the subject but it didn't work, I wanted to name it "preserving" the heritage instead of protecting. Maybe that naunces the thread a bit. And I disregarded those silly Japanese while already seen those stupid movies a time ago, I didn't refer to them as I don't take that whole continent serious, not to insult .. they have a fantastic industry but they should not mess with art. I think it would be just as ridiculous to cook Japanese Sushi the Mc Donalds way.

I like to personalize my car too but I think there are limits !

In your footnote you write "Give me liberty or give me death!" - Patrick Henry"

Well then .. draw your conclusion

Don't misunderstand, I merely saw the discussion taking a bad turn to a point of resolute admonishment of those who went outside the "approved guidelines". I personally think most of the mods are absolutely tasteless. But, let's keep in mind, there are far more Diablos than, say, Jalpas, yet there tends to be more screaming about the more desireable model. Seems to me protection of the heritage would be more suitable to admiration and restoration of the GT cars rather than the "door up" cars. Those were what Feruccio wanted to build.

I think 'we' (who is we?) are at the same side, I guess almost all Lambo owners are men with the desire to be free. I'm not sure how many only want to overrule their neighbour with their car (is that a Ferrari thing? oops) but yeah that is what I think we all want here; freedom. no doubt. Giving no sh!t about what others think of us. And sure, those J. (did I again used the J-word?) don't care what I think so indeed let's sit and wait until they come back.

To Europe I mean
