Did you get documentation for the supposed work that was done on the clutch? Sorry to hear about the trouble on the new car. Hopefully it is minor.

just a few thoughts here.
Did you check to see if your clutch resvior is low? It's on the front side of your trunk behind the panels. Is there any fluid leaking under the car? How does the clutch pressure feel? Soft? Or does it go all the way to the floor? Your slave on the side of the transmission might have gone bad. If the clutch is not disengaging then that is the reason you are not able to start the car. The pressure plate has the clutch disk pressed against the flywheel..so the starter would be trying to move the flywheel hence the entire car. Like Andrew said, I would get the car on the lift and press the clutch in and see what the lever on the side of the transmission is doing...is it moving or not? Hopefully that is all it is...a bad slave..simple to fix.

Congrats on your new car. Thats a great color combo. Was it a local purchase?
With respect to driving in your socks, I did the same thing initially. Size 11's are to big for Italian pedal design. Then I went shopping at some of the sporting goods stores. They carry a runner call the lifestyle runner. It looks kind of goofy but the width of the tread is narrow at the widest part of your foot and the heal is low . They almost look like racing shoes but without the hightop. They work great and look better than climbing out of your car and then putting your shoes on. With respect to your clutch problem: Could be one of a few problems; Clutch itself, clutch hose at the slave cylinder (hole), clutch slave cylinder itself, or possibly a broken actuating rod running from the linkage to the slave cylinder itself. I only suggest the last one because it happened to me with my CT a couple of weeks ago. If the clutch has been done recently, and if it has been installed correctly and if it hasn't been thrashed since, I would start looking at hydraulics. If you can, look under the car, see if there is any fluid dripping or puddling. Check on the right hand side between the door and the rear wheelwell. If you see fluid. There is a reasonable chance the problem is one of the last problems I mentioned. Good luck I hope it's nothing to serious. |

Wow!! EH!!
Three Canucks on the same thread at one time. Must be a record. Greetings from Regina, Sask. HLA 12097 87 CT I've heard ZR does good work but Calgary is a long way to haul a car. Have you talked to Glen Kohut from the Lamborghini Club of Canada yet? Glen has some good contacts, and he's a heck of a nice guy to boot. |
