Due to the age of the car and the lack of mileage a Diablo sees, most of the service items will be determined upon inspection. Things like the tires, brakes & ignition components especially.

The items that can be standardized are the fluids and filters. I recommend an engine oil change once per year and flushing the coolant, brake fluid, clutch fluid and replacing the transmission and diff fluids every 2yrs.

Items like valve adjustment and timing chain inspection tend to correlate with the need to reseal the leaking valve covers.

All of this comes in handy because it also changes the money in your bank account. It'll never go bad or get stale or dry rotted from sitting in there too long.

Very important point Dave. It is your duty as an italian car owner to support capitalism and our economy.

On the 99 Diablo service book, the service interval is 12000 kms (or 7500 miles). My mechanic recommended 7500 kms (or 5000 miles) between oil changes and replacement of filters. This or one year.

Thank you all for helping me!!

Actually, I have an offer for a DIABLO SV 97 model, for 48.000 eur. With 38.000 miles on the clock. Do I have to change the engine valves, timing parts, and other major components?
In my opinion the car is cheap and for that reason Im trying to figure out if there is a trick or something else.

What do you think?

I think the car is way too cheap, there has to be something wrong about it. It's not even the "normal" price of a 91 model. A good 97 SV should be worth around 90k, more or less depending on general state, services, interior etc.

I had seen a year ago a yellow 99 SV at 85k euros but I'm happy I didn't buy it because after seeing it I learned that the car had been badly damaged, badly repaired, hadn't run for 10 years, needed a lot of parts changed...
I finally bought my red SV at a much much higher price, but the car is in pristine condition.

So remember that. You might have a lot of work needed on the car, and on these cars it can become very very expensive

Yea, hard to say what the "catch" is with the deal gian. No matter what you purchase, I always recommend having an experienced Lambo tech inspect the car first to help reduce the likelyhood of buying someone else's problems.
