First off - I would like to introduce myself, I am new to this website, and basicly share the same intrest in Lamborghini's as the rest of you. So here goes, I am intrested in buying a 6.0 Diablo VT, my main question is; how many 6.0 VT's where made? My next question is, im intrested in a specific color thats called "Le Mans blue" I found one of these blues on Lamborghiniregistry.com, but seems to be the only one? can anyone help me and tell me about how many of this color where made? Im mainly intrested in getting a 6.0 in that specific color. My last questions is probably the easyiest to answer but mite be diffrent from diffrent people, here it goes...If im buying a Lambo. what mileage should i look for low or high? I know this mite sound silly buy I have herd that if you buy a low mileage exotic there are many more problems since its not broken in yet? I really would like everyones oppinions to come out, pros and cons!

Hello and welcome,
As for the color "Le Mans Blue" I believe that there are four 6.0's made with this option. Very nice color and RARE!! I think that if you are to buy a higher milage car you will have more noises " squeeks and rattles" then if you are to buy a lower milage car. I really would look to find a car in the 8,000-12,000 mile range. I think that the higher the milage the better the car feels. But generaly you can feel that there are a few miles. But then if you want to get THAT car then get it. As rare as it is, just make sure that it has been taken care of and that it is right!! You'll know what I mean when you get in it and drive! |

Thanks Lambo38-
Le Mans blue is a nice color, im wondering if there are any colors that might be similar to it such as Blue Ely or any others. with the milage you stated 8k-12k is around how much I was looking for, but wasnt sure if I was makeing a mistake buying a broken in car or not. One other question, what do I look for when I test drive one of these 6.0's? What are some of the main problems they have and what can I notice up front? Sorry for all these questions! |

Low mileage does not always mean good, and higher mileage bad. It is the maitenance and condition that matters most. I have oned two different 6.0's so I am very familiar with the cars. The main problem with the 6.0's is there extremely low #'s. Therefore, finding the one you want, i.e. color, mileage, condition, may be very tough. The best way to get a proper functioning car is to get a PPI done by someone that is experienced with these cars. Obvious things like oil pressure, idle- both RPM's and stability, proper operating temperature are easy to check yourself. The clutch health is also important. It should be crisp to engage and have no signs of slippage. There are many more things to look at, but most apply to any used car you may buy, not specifically to Lambo's.
