So I finally managed to put some time together for myself and make this thread on upgrades for your Diablo.
These upgrades look great and really update the look of the Diablo, that being said it may not be for everyone, so peanut gallery keep negative comments to yourself. I will do this in segments as I tackled all of these Interior light Fog lights Day time running lights Headlights Tachometer light License plate light New Clock and shift gate light I took the time initially to match up all the bulbs when I ordered from LED Lights, Bulbs & Accessories - SUPER BRIGHT LEDS As a test I ordered a couple of different kinds of each bulb to see what was best for use for our cars, you can pick your own but my recommendations are probably the best solution. Great thing about using LED they last 100 times longer and use very little power but best of all they produce little to no heat. This is why Lamborghini were not able to put bright bulbs in their autos as they melted or warped plastic. With LED you get 100% brighter light with no repercussions. As most of you know the lighting on the Diablo leaves something to be desired, headlamps are dim, so are driving lights, interior light is a joke at best. I have addressed all of these using LED technology (headlamps are Xenon). I own a 97.5 Diablo Roadster, this is what I will be referring to, those of you with Coupe use common sense to similar situation when changing bulb. Interior light: The interior light is very simple fix, it uses incandescent bulbs that are barely 3watts making them very dim. You can swap these out for 2 types of replacement LED. 1st type is straight replacement, it is the easiest and greatly improves light by 70% 6451 LED Bulb - 6 SMD LED Festoon | Festoon Base Bulbs | LED Car Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs 2nd is what I used as it has way more LED on it and very little modification, but light improvement is 110% 30 High Power LED Rectangle PCB Lamp w/ Festoon Base | Festoon Base Bulbs | LED Car Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs Below are some pics of the bulbs you can use and my modification to m y interior light.

These are the lights located beside the front turning signal lights, they are constantly on when you activate the parking lights. The have an incandescent bulb type is 1156, only 5 watts. You have many options for this bulb as it is a very common bulb.
I bought the brightest ones available 1156 LED Bulb - Single Intensity 45 SMD LED Tower | LED Brake Light, Turn Light and Tail Light Bulbs | LED Car Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs and trust me it's an increase of 200% + You can use many others if you do not wish them too bright pics below.

There has been many post on this subject, lets just clarify a few myths.
1-Yes you can do the conversion on all Diablo up to 98. -I am not 100% positive about converting 99 or newer models that have the sealed beam units from 300 ZX, but I'm sure it's just as simple. 2-No it does not cost thousands of dollars, at most depending what you want $500.00 3-Yes you can get aftermarket projection style H1 headlamps. 4-Yes they do make a high/low beam single Xenon bulb, it is slightly more expensive but worth it. It is imperative that you order the H1 aftermarket projection style headlamp. For one reason you can change bulbs etc.. but more important and I can't stress this enough you won't blind other drivers. What I mean is that you obviously have observed other drivers out there with Xenon lights, but some are abusive. The abusive ones are the young generation not being told that they need to order projection style headlamps when they upgrade to Xenon. They are simply using the original headlamp assembly and installing Xenon bulbs, sure it's brighter but they are not focused beam like they are intended to be. They are throwing blinding light out every-which way but straight ahead, in turn blinding on coming drivers. Their should be a law passed for this as it is a annoying and a hazard. OK thats my rant ![]() Here is a site that sells the H1 7X6" Projection style headlamp and Xenon kit complete for $193.95 on sale. Now you may notice it is for a Jeep Cherokee lol this will fit your 91 to 98 Diablo 7"x6" Projector Glass Headlights for H6014/H6052/H6054 Seal Beam Conversion - Chrome (pair) + HID Xenon Lights Kit Package_6 Just make sure you select Bi-Xenon bulb as this is the high/low beam. Be specific on color usually 4300k is the normal bright white. I ordered the 6000k that has a very slight blue hue. You can order even purple if you wish for the 30th Anniversary Diablos ![]() Below are some pics of my sealed beam units, for some reason they come with this little blue light (it's kind of cool) they call it city light ???? must mean daytime running lights. You can hook this up or leave it be. The other pics are what I received for my Xenon kit, you will notice the half cover over the bulbs, this is so they keep the light at a 90 degree angle and not blind other drivers. Note the pic of my Projection style headlamps were taken after I installed them but not with Xenon bulbs in them, I was in a rush and didn't have time to install them but I had regular halogen bulbs in place so I could drive my car that day lol. Installation is as straight forward as it gets, take your time zip tie everything up nice and neat and you will have no issues. Time of install from removal of old lights etc.. beginning to end 1 to 2 hours approx, but one can easily do this in 30min.

As most of you noticed the single light in the tachometer makes it seem like it has burnt out lights, at least thats what I thought when I first bought my car. To my surprise the tach only has 1 very small bulb ????? why would they do this, your guess is good as mine.
Anyhoo the bulb is uber easy to change to a bright LED one, this made it as bright as the rest of the dash. I left the rest of the dash lights alone as they were plenty bright enough. There are many versions of this single bulb, again I ordered a few different kind to see which one was best. I liked this one 194 LED Bulb - 5 SMD LED Wide Angle Wedge Base | Miniature Wedge Base LEDs | LED Car Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs Below is a a pic of the light in the new clock light assembly, thats coming up soon. You also might notice in the last pic that blue guage, I will talk about it after my list lol.
