Don't laugh about China unless you've been there and seen their operations.

They're already making parts for whatever you're driving now whether you know it or not and so is Mexico & Brazil.

Doesn't Leno have the shop and manpower to manufacture what he needs? I kind of doubt he is buying many parts for Dusi's. China is rumored to add 14 million workers to their workforce in the next decade. This is in a country where people are still living in caves in some places. They will crush the western world with their cheap labor. Look at the tags on your clothing for phrases like "hecho en China". How long before we see the first Chinese exotic car?

Default Lambo inventory

Lambo is getting rid on old parts for things like the Islero, not so far the Diablo.
If anyone needs parts for the Diablo or whatever, let me know.

Hey. Audi/ VW is one of the biggest auto makers in China, I wouldnt be surprised if some of the parts on murcies or gallardos are sourced from over there... Besides, I dont understand what is the big deal about China made. People work extremely hard over there to make a living.. so what the hell is wrong with that? we are talking about a world economy arent we? For anyone to criticize Chinese and their cheaper labor is just not right. So many people in the western world have become so distant from hard work and dedication that honestly they should look to chinese workers and understand why they are becoming an economic superpower. The reason is this, they are hungry to better themselves. They would jump at any opportunity. There are so many wealthy selfmade millionaires in China to prove this point exactly. So, honestly my hats off to them for their commitment to better themselves anyway possible...

QVPower,
If I am being misunderstood about Chinese labor I feel a little of my background must be told. My dad is 1/2 Chinese, born in Shanghai, immigrated to the US in the 1930's. He always warned us kids to not expect anything from life we didn't work for. Chinese labor is cheap from a "western" viewpoint. From a Chinese viwpoint it's a different matter. The Chinese have the intelligence, the workforce, and are now amassing the raw materials to become whatever they want. The western world is looking top heavy and lazy and ready to be crushed by a more efficient workforce. I am criticizing America which is all I'm qualified to do. I hope my kids can do as well as my father and I have. We may see Chinese replacement parts one day. GM is wanting out of their labor agreements. The automotive landscape looks like it could change radically in the next two decades. --Dave--

PLEASE! PLEASE! AND MORE PLEASE!

Germany has one of the highest paid labor forces in the world and their auto industry is doing just fine. Man - better than fine. China is catching up with the rest of the world in manufacturing (passed a few industries too), but IT'S STILL NOT A FREE COUNTRY!

When they learn to make quality parts it will be a great thing, but I bet the price of a Lambo won't go down because the that.

Did you hear that the Chinese Govt. made the Rolling Stones agree not to sing five of their songs at their recent concert in China?

Wouldn't want to live like that for all the tea in china...period.

I would differ from that as even though Germany has one of the highest paid labor forces, it needs to compete in the world economy... I compare China to the U.S and I see many things that a free society is not able to do to benefit the majority of the country. For instance, China is able to grow so fast because of the lack of red tape that we encounter in the states. Has anyone seen a mile long bridge completed within a years time? I have in China. I have seen buildings torn down to make way for freeways in a matter of months. No protestors about relocation because they are compensated with modern housing , which are greatly appreciated. It is just not possible for any free country to do so. Keep in mind that China is communist in principle now only. The entire country is capitalistic in every way other than the official ideology of communism... Besides, democracy is only possible in countries that have well educated population. I believe China is on the road to becoming a democracy, but its people need to worry about first their ability to better their lives than freedom. As to parts being made in China, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, VW, GM, Ford, Honda, Toyota, and other manufacturers are already there and have manufacturing plants. Does anyone here think they would be dumb enough to import parts from U.S and Germany so they can assemble there? Nope. Pretty much most parts are now made in China. Just go to your local parts store and try counting how many parts are now made there. Quality is definitely on par with many other countries manufacturing as all the manufacturing equipment is imported... As to the argument of living free. What is free? You can go anywhere you want in China, you can eat anything you want, you can do anything you want (so long as it is legal), you can be an entrepeneur, the only thing you cant do is hold public protest. So, believe me, it is as free as many democratic societies with the exception that you dont fight the government. I have several friends in high government postions there and they say to me " We are as capitalistic as anyone out there and honestly the old communist ideology is no more. But, we have to keep communism in place for now as because we have had it for so many years...." So, imagine this from a communist party official...

Yeah I read that about the Stones concert there. The article also said most of the audience was foreigners. I have to agree with QVPower that the barriers that exist for us are unimportant to them. Wetlands, green spaces, endangered species etc. just doesn't apply. The German auto makers are doing well right now as compared to the US automakers. The US automakers want out of their labor agreements and have problems with their parts suppliers and have spun them off from under the big corporate umbrella. Some BMWs as well as other brands are assembled in the US. So are Ford and GM going to declare bankruptcy, cancel their contracts and move everything except the corporate offices offshore? This is a situation where business and politics are so intertwined that all us minions can do is sit back and watch. There was substantial foreign investment/interest in China before WW2. The communists gained control and nationalized those interests. That same communist viewpoint is still in power, so it's going to be better for the western world this time around? Kind of seems like the world has gone from feeling all warm and fuzzy from when the Berlin wall came down to feeling trepedation over the next world war which will be economic in nature. I don't have any answers just questions. I don't think the cars will become cheaper but the companies profits may improve.--Dave--
