Don't be scared of a car that has a few miles on the clock, stay away from anything that has sat around for the last few years.
Budget on doing the clutch, consider it a bonus if you don't have to ! The early 2wd cars offer the best bang for the buck, especially if you like the raw car, no power steering etc. |

Leaking shocks do not apply to the earlier cars in the same way as the later models.
Pinion gear seems to be an issue, I have my fingers and toes crossed. The clutch is an issue, simply because you don't know how it has been abused. The answer is to treat it with respect, make sure that the clutch free play adjustment is right, and if it fails, upgrade to kevlar which will likely last 3 times longer. |
