Default 98 roadster on Ebay is listed with wrong color

For anyone who may be bidding on this car, Item number: 4603578665,
HTML Code:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1998-LAMBO-DIABLO-VT-ROADSTER-CHIARRO-BLUE-SNOWCORN_W0QQitemZ4603578665QQcategoryZ6290QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
, the color is not chiaro blue- it's scuro blue. From the pics, the car color is somewhat hard to ascertain because it's in the shade. Some times it looks like scuro blue but when the photographer gets right up on the paint and takes a pic, the flash hitting the paint makes it look a little like chiaro.

Just thought anyone on here bidding for it might want want to know as I just called the salesman in the listing, Jim Lazzari, and he confirmed that it is not chiaro blue as advertised. His reason for not correcting the listing: "Ebay makes it too hard to do so." I don't know about anyone else, but in my opinion, I find this "minor" discrepancy on a $170,000 car as more than a little annoying as there is a world of difference in these paint colors when you get them out in the sun. And although I'm not trying to promote one color over the other (although I am biased towards the chiaro blue), chiaro is a very bright and vivid metallic blue that really sparkles in the sun and scuro is a darker metallic that goes back and forth between purple and blue. I just keep wondering why they keep knowingly advertising a car for over three weeks with the wrong color.

And for some recent history on the car, Autosport USA in Pompano Beach, FL had it advertised on 12/08/05 as scurro blue with 10,322 miles and Al Burtoni exhaust. I spoke with a salesman on that same day and he said he would take $159,900. He also said the front spoiler had been blended with new paint due to excessive chipping from rocks, etc.

On 12/21/05, I saw the car being advertised at Prestige Imports for $169,900. When I asked a salesman named David over the phone about the car, he told me that there isn’t a scratch or blemish on it. And when I started questioning him about the color, he confirmed at that time that it was scuro blue and not the chiaro blue as advertised on their website.

You would imagine common decency would prevent such "mistakes" as this from happening...

Well.....that's an entire other subject. But the good news is we have thousands of eyes and ears watching out for us.
