Default 2WD vs 4WD

To those drivers who have experience of Diablo 2WD and 4WD cars, what is your preference and why would choose one over the other?

I am watching an auction on E-Bay. The item number is 4599430671 if the link does not work. I am not intending to bid on this car.

Give me 4wd any day, I''ll give up a few HP to gain all the handling amy day!!!!!

I race cars in my spare time and Nothing can beat Handling(almost Full throttle thru the Corners)...the real World and Road Racing has corners, nothing beats the Lambos's type of 4wd in these circimstances.....nothing!!!!

I like 2WD. If I were to track regularly or drive in the rain/snow, then I would say VT - but for regular Florida driving, I'll take 2WD. The drawback on 2WD cars is they have manual steering (some prefer this) and I'm converting over to power steering. Will have the best of both worlds.

do you have to crank the wheel a lot? I once a rental car with no power steering and i was beat after driving it around for a day.

The 2WD will outperform since it is lighter -- but I agree with ltadmin. With AWD, you can go full throttle through the corners, etc. You will simply never lose any traction. In fact, I find giving it gas gives me more traction. AWD is part of the lambo experience.

If you plan to track it, your lap times will significantly improve because of the increased traction -- you can more comfortably push the car to its limits.

Unless you are a true professional, the AWD will be much faster for you except for the straights. And we are talking a marginal difference. But since you had to ask 2wd vs 4wd, I dont think you fall into that "pro driver" category. Go with the 4wd.

Get the Ferrari and the Lambo, only way to deal with this problem.
