I notice that some of these cars have a sweeping "SV" lettering on each side of the car. I assume that it is a decal of some sort that is applied to the existing paint of the car.
Can the "SV" be professionally removed without damaging the paint, or does it require a paint respray in the areas affected? |

Believe it, it is not easy to reproduce the passenger and driver sides are not mirror images of each other. If you want one, send me a PM as I have an identical set made from high quality vinyl for sale.

Yes it is a decal which most, do to the age of our cars has begun to crack or become discolored through time. They can be removed very easily with a portable steamer without any damage to the paint. I removed and installed a fresh SV Decal on a local 99 SV this past weekend with no issues at all.

Did the SV to my car last year, costs about US$300? to do it in my area & yes, it's a mirrored image so my guys had to re-do it. They basically get images off the web & then enlarge it to stick over your car.
It's rather easy to remove & won't spoil the car paint. Have fun! |
