Default where was the LM002 Made?

Just like the thread title, where was the Lambo made? In the same plant as the other cars or in another one? The reason for the question, is this guy at work told me it was made in a Chrystler plant and the design was by Lee Ioccoca. Say it aint so. The K car was bad enough, but if this is true......

Cheeta?

Chrysler teamed up with Maserati to create the beloved Bi-turbo. But is it possible that Chrysler helped on this LM006 project?

They were assembled in house in Italy. Chyrsler had nothing to do with the design or construction of it. The original concept was called the Cheetah. This was first shown in 1977. first prototype (LM001) was released in 1981. The first production LM002 was unveiled in early 1986. Chrysler bought the company in April of 1987. The idea for the LM002 came 10 years before being bought by Chrysler. So your co-worker is incorrect in his claim.

The bodies were manufactured at Spanish coachbuilder Irizar's plant at Olaberria, close to San Sebastian

exactly, Irizcar from spain, also mentioned in Stefano Pasini's Book "Famous car factories: Lamborghini" from 1992, but there he mentions that most of the LM002 bodies were produced in spain.

What I read somewhere else was that the chassis and bodies were delivered to italy to get all the technical stuff, like they did with Bertone for the jalpa, Urraco, Jarama and Espada.
