why you would tell people to do a search on something only to find no helpful information (w/ the goal of acquiring a set of very rare OZ wheels for the LM)?, aka - wild goose chase. there is absolutely no helpful information on someone selling OZ wheels on this entire website using search, advanced search, google, whatever. searched LM, searched LM002, LM002A, no OZ but thanks. yes i did find the result where a set was "sold" but how does that help anyone? i am sure you know very well no one stocks these wheels.
in reply to redlambo, i contacted the wheel collision center you posted a link to and here was their reply, "OZ is an aftermarket rim manufacturer, we do not stock aftermarkets. However, they sometimes made rims for other aftermarket companies, as well as the oem wheel market. I have never seen these rims before and I do not see them listed on the OZ website." all i get from this reply is they basically have no idea what an LM002 is, let alone the wheels. i wonder how big of a group buy it would take for OZ to cast more? if anyone has any connection like this of any sort, count me in. |

Heres a link to OZ, try contacting them.
http://www.ozracing.com/2006/pages/index.php?lang=it There are so many wheel companys around that make custom wheels, that you could have some made for a fraction of what it would cost you for the original OZ wheels, if you ever found them anyway. |

thank you il pezzo. a friend of mine owns a 3D mill & i am in the cad/cam field so i am aware that i could make/redesign them myself but like anything aftermarket, it will never be the same. the texture alone on the OZ wheels is much different, i think, than most other wheels.

Thank you everyone for your input. Clearly there appear to be no original LM 002 America OZ alloy wheels available. Even the factory parts department indicates that the wheels are no longer available ( I checked with them this past Friday Nov 30, 2007).
I may arrange to get new wheels cast. I recently did this for a set of Bizzarrini wheels. I have a LM 002 Alloy wheel from which to make a mold, but thought it would be easier if there were original wheels available. If I go ahead with a new casting, i will post it here. If anyone else decides to do it, please also post here as I will order a set as well. Thanks again for all the input!! AbuNawaff, I see from many of the previous threads, that you have a lot of experience rebuilding your LM002, and I enjoyed the You-tube posting of your Quicksilver exhaust! I am sorry if I misunderstood how these postings work, but I thought and hoped that maybe you or others might have found something I could not find. As I am a new entrant to this site, I hope I can look to you for help on LM 002 questions if they are not already answered in previous threads. |
