Dynamat has really good glue behind it, so no extra glue was needed. Then just glued fabric up, I used magnets (as roof is only steel bodypart in Countach) to hold fabric up and then I apply glue to other side and when it was good, magnet side was up. So to be clear... you peeled back the leather from the side pieces? how to did you put that side leather back up? Using the same spray glue? I have my fabric and plastic spatula and spray glue. Waiting on Dynamat. What model Alpine radio did your car have? Does it work? Last edited by raymond; 04-23-2012 at 10:27 PM. |

Sorry, I haven't had time to read this forum.
You CAN change fabric without taking side pieces out, there you need "spatula", but if you do not have enough room, you have peel leather out, Generally I would not use spray glue as they make huge mess and don't hold so good. Normal glue works better and "yes" I glued leather back. My car had some "Hi-Fi" radio, with no name, like in old days and today, there is nothing that ages faster than aftermarket electronic devises like car stereo.

I have to comment; 5000S carburetors are VERY difficult to adjust, they are so accurate and sensitive.
I have done two full days of work and slowly getting there, I'll post more when done. Here is video from first start: Countach with untuned carburetors - YouTube There you can hear car that is way off balanced and no where near how it should be.

You may want to look into a McIntosh radio. They blend very well with the 1980s look of the countach. Or you could put the Tag Hauer clocks which also look very nice in the CT.

But when comes to radio... I can't even hear what person next to speaks. For longer drive I use ear protection.Mcintosh radios look nice, but like other exotic cars I have, radios are generally unused, like new.

Back to basics...
I am not sure, should I mix rear differential friction additive to countach rear or not? Ownersmanual seems not mention anything on this.
