I'am now working with fron suspension and took opportunity to build elektrolysis rust remover. Well It just 50liter bucket, battery charger, water and natriumcarbonate (Na2CO3)

Negative cable to part needed to remove rust and some metal to positive side

And wait for five hours and you get this:

Electrolysis do not harm steel only removes rust as you can from next picture:

You can se how maker of this brakeplate has made patern to sheetplate and then cutted little bit of...
From picture you can see how is the hole made by using torch and some grinder to make that fine look.
Hey do not judge; young car maker have to start from somewhere...

Very nice. Good job on the rust reversal. That is a nice touch.

Much better than just using a wirewheel.

What process did you use to protect the surface after you stripped the rust ?

Not sure if I apply lead to rust holes, othewise acidpaint primer and few layers of black.
You can take parts to zinced if you like.

From pictures you can find that those little hole are gray/black it is rust but in form of magnet (non magnetic) It can be left under paint because it does not react to metal. In fact magnet can be used as anticorrosive material for example cellulose (paper) factories.

New brakepads arived;

EBC direct used post service "Euro48" I do not know does it mean 48h or you might get your brakes in next 48days...
Brakes recommended for Countach rearcalipers by EBC are wrong, note this if you order these.(pads in picture are right ones)
Also brake wear sensor wires where disrtoyded by brakes them self, fortunately Countach does not have any wearsensor.

And new wheels;

And new tyres (Tyre on right is NOT for my car it is actually -77 Ferrari 308 tyre.)

I am going to paint new wheels to gold color and at the same time badges are going to get repainted:
I took them of and clean first with thinner and this is what I found:
Gold paint under silver.

Today I started clean airfilter casings, paint was pad from last owners engine out service:

Here is the starting point:

Carburators have spilled a bit fuel, no big deal.

After few hours:

Again, unique opportunity to see how these cars are built:

Casing itself is from other manufacturer as same filter can be used by Ferrari and Maserati. Point where Lamborghini worker has started can be seen as oval welding.

Because casing is for other car, it had to be rebuild to fit for Webers and oil-vapor tube placement chaged.

NOTE: I have NOT do anything more then removed the paint by using chemicals, everything you see is from factory. For next I'll remove rust and remaining paint.
