Am I correct in understanding that Lamborghini only produced 3 silver anniversary cars?
One at the museum, one for Lee Ioccoca, (no miles on it) and one with blue interior? I have seen a silver red one as well. Was it painted?

From the Lambo registry.
"3 were built in Anniversario Argento (Anniversary Silver), one for the USA (#KLA12960), one for England (#KLA12670) and one (#KLA12085) kept by the Factory in its Museum." That is why I ask. Some must have been painted.

Additionally there was also an original silver RHD 25th advertised as a new car back in 92/94 by dealer William Loughran in Preston UK. It was advertised for a very long time for big money and I am not sure what happened to it. Don't remember the interior colour. I can probably check my old notes and find out if needed!

KLA12085 is in the Museum with thousands of miles. KLA12960 is the blue interior UK one, sold many years ago (early 90s) and moved to Oz. KLA12648 is the silver interior Lee Iaccoca one. KLA12670 is the red interior US one. I'm friends with the original owner and the current (2nd) owner - it is very much original. He still has the uninstalled wing in a box. A great story regarding these was the owner of 12670 being interviewed next to his car by espn or cnn in Monterey a few years ago. The owner had just mentioned how rare silver 25th's were when ANOTHER silver 25th pulls up next to him. It was the museum car - was quite funny. -mick Last edited by gday : 10-03-2005 at 07:49 PM. |
