Hi Fredrik,
Welcome to the Dark Side ![]() As far as I know, there isn't lots of Countach for sale in Europe at the moment, but Raymond might be up to date and may give you more info. A Classic Lamborghini is like a box of chocolate...you never know what you gonna get However, most of the cars in Europe have a known history, and if you find one, check the VIN, and we will probably be able to tell you if it's a reasonnably good car or just a poor thing you will have to rebuild. In any case, don't even think of buying a perfect car right away. A Countach QV known to be a good car in Germany would cost you 110k/150k euros. Prices are going up fast, so don't think to much and go for it ! Well maintain, a Countach is almost reliable, but needs a lot of care. Buying a good care doesn't mean you will not have to go for a complete "check up" and regular maintenance. If you want to know a good mechanic for a good price, there is one in switzerland. Not a fancy garage, but the guy is a genious (ref to the never ending threads about Raymond's or my car).Anyway, good luck ! Keep us posted ![]() Cheers |

It's nowhere safe to buy a countach since you never know what's inside the engine. Unfortunately this is a fact, the best is if you can find a car which a reliable service history done by experienced workshops.
But even this doesn't prevent that you can catch a car with a problem which simply didn't pop up yet. After having had 2 swiss and one german LP5000S with exactly the same engine failure due casting sand I'm very biased if there was a general problem or if it hits only certain cars.

Hi there. Btw, happy new year.
Thanks a lot for your answers. It made me think about a lot of things. We have one here in Sweden (he sales Porsche) but i do believe he has service on both Lamborghini and Ferrari. So, it has problems (like Raymond said) with the engine. That sounds like an expensive service. Well, i had thought i should use the Countach as a "summer-car". I got the luck to test-drive one and i got sold. Not for the shape of the car. It was the horse-kick i´ve got when i hit the gas on the highway. WOW, just like an horse-kick in the back. The service-book isn´t always tells the truth about the car. If i found someone, what should i look after? And as Ayanami says, i should look for the VIN-number? Where do i find that? Are you able to see what "kind of car" it is i would be very appreciated for your help. |

VIN is on a metal piece on the left inside the engine bay near the ignition box.
