I had an 84 that I bought out of North Carolina in 06 and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a very good car with all the "nuances" you would expect. The electrical is an issue it seems but is not too intense to rectify. I would never try to make them run like a Camry because they weren't engineered for that frankly.
I am in the process of getting an anniversary as well and appreciate the upgrades on that car vs the earlier cars. Enjoy.

Don't be offended by Chad.
He knows what he is talking about and he is a really nice guy. The information he gave you is standard Countach Mantra. CHECK THE GROUNDS,CHECK THE GROUNDS, CHECK THE GROUNDS They are not always the problem but they are a very good starting point. (electrical wires attaching to a round tube frame means there is a smaller amount of contact area with which to achieve a good ground) If the problem persists after you clean the grounds, post what is happening and we will try to help you out. Good luck. |

Was not trying to hurt your feelings.
Heck I drive a 1968 Barracuda just about every day, 20 mpg that is one good reason. I also hate to meet myself on the road. Anytime I can help, I am just up the road in Leesville, SC Chadbourn Bolles 803 532 6257 |
