Smile New member looking at purchasing a Countach...

Hi, I'm a new member who currently own a 2006 Viper Coupe and I'm in the process of selling it for possibly a Countach . How is general reliability and maintenance costs on a Countach? Also, can anyone suggest a good website or dealer where I might be able to purchase one? Would I be able to get a decent one in the 50-75k range? Your help is appreciated .

The Countach is in no way anything like the Viper. The Viper you can just get in a drive any day, don't even have to open the hood or check the oil. The A/C works well and the power steering is great, the radio you can enjoy. No so the Countach. This is a HIGH maintaince car. A/C works but that is about it, radio forget it, you cannot hear it over the engine running. No power steering, small interior little head room.
Now having said that, to own a Countach is to own a piece of history, one of the most exciting cars ever made. There are more Vipers made every year than all the Countach cars ever made.
If you do not like to work on a car then stick with your Viper.

I agree with chad. If you are looking for a car to drive once in awhile but mainly want, as chad said, "a piece of history" the Countach is for you. If you want something that is fast, reliable and has great "streetability" keep the viper. The Countach is very very high maintenance and reliability is out the window in that price range.

You will have to look all over North America. There aren't dealers that just sit on these cars. They come up for sale and the good ones sell in one day.
What version are you looking for?

A good one will run you 85K and up. You can find a rat for under 75k but be ready to put mega$$$ into it to get it right. You will get a ton more looks with the CT over the Viper.
