Default LP400S ?..I must be mad too

Hi everyone
I just joined the forum..
In a few words..I'm french, been living in Singapore for a couple of years, and might be back in France for a few month from August.
I'm looking for a Countach LP400S, first serie if possible (the holy LP400 is definitively over my budget...) , or LP500S or QV (with no skirt...), no US bumpers, and preferably not a UK car neither (the wheel on the wrong side is not much appreciated by the french certifying authorities...) black or white, equipped with a rear wing, available for sale in Europe 4 to 6 months from now. The car is to be used in France and Europe.

It's been now almost 4 months that I am looking all over the net. I have found some interesting offers and contacted great people but...too late (the greatest guys I found are in Switzerland...these guys can talk for hours about the car, the engine, etc.. before they finally ask 'Oh..by the way...what's your budget ?). I've given up trying to get in contact with the french dealers (don't ask why...)...
I have a (relatively ) small budget, so I'm not looking for a Serial Nr 0001(...), but a car I can enjoy driving and maintaining while I'm in France from time to time. I think I have a pretty good idea of the cars for sale in Europe today, but maybe I missed the One, so...I'm trying my chance here...

Should you have any contact or friend from your club having one for sale, would you please drop me a line here. I'll be around chasing the news. Thank you.

And..hummn..is Raymond ...THE Raymond of THE Countach ?

Woww..You got my legs shaking It's an honor to meet you...really

I'll keep on looking around until I get back to France. But it seems I'm not the only one looking, right ? And it is obviously not possible from Singapore to have an appointment for the next day when I see an interesting deal...Hopefully, you guys will not buy them all before I'm back.

I will find one soon, don't worry..and then..you'll probably be called for help hahaha..

In any case, small budget and Countach do not match...

You can have good luck and get a car for a good price not causing troubles or you can get one like mine with a shot head gasket...

In the end I'm still happy with my car, I got it for a good price and now I know what I have (a bloody fast example ).

Hi Terry,
I meant...''relatively small''...that would be enough to buy and run a LP500S...but makes a Murcielago Roadster a dream (for now...)
This is a long term project and I have been thinking seriously about this for years. I sure do not have enough money to step in a Lamborghini Dealer, and say 'Hi..I want this new Murcie because I kindda like it..make it ready for tomorrow'' ..I just..feel the time has come...The budget I'm talking about seems all right for what I see in the market...Between you and me, I have even hidden separate founds in case of...head joint problems for example..hehe.. (but don't tell my girl, ok? )
In any case I agree...Countach isn't cheap...but after all, is it even reasonnable ?...

It depends what you want the screaming Lp400s with low torque or the Lp500s with a lot more torque but max power at 7000 instead of 7500rpm.
Keep also in mind that the LP400s had 353bhp instead of the 375 of the LP400 at 8000rpm (they changed to smaller carbs).

Prices of the LP400s and LP500s are almost the same.

Eric,

mail me the price you're able/willing to pay for a LP500s in a PN.
I might have a car here.
