That's wrong, the 1988,5 is a QV with many upgrades.
The engine bay is different from the 25th, the 88.5 had already the ac-unit in the center console, but except from the side skirts it was a pure QV.

The AC remained the same except the cooler/evaporator located in the center console (25th is different), the difference was only that instead of the turning know there is an electronic unit which displays the temperature and has the knobs built in.
The function to turn of the compressor on/off was not changed. Some changes are noted from chassis 910 on but my car was the first to get the enlarged dashboard with the side vents. ![]()

But to answer your numbers question..... There were 610 QV's produced from 85 through 88 (includes the 88.5 cars). I've not seen a hard number but the range would be 145 -> 160 for the 88.5 cars. -mick |
