Having Walter Wolf stickers for an early Countach would be a terrific touch of history and nostalgia, I think.

Hi everyone
Alright..here is the report, in a few words...
We found oil in the water circuit but fortunately, no water in the oil (yet.. ). We think this must be something wrong with the seal of the water pump shaft. So, of course, the oil level is getting low. I don't know if this has anything to do with the oil leak, but the oil pressure stays much too high.
Another surprise was to discover that the rubber of the two rear supports of the engine is gone, so the engine has probably moved 5 to 8 mm down on its rear supports . This could explain the noise coming from the gear box from time to time.
Appart of that, and a doubt about the alternator, Tahiti has been running alright yesterday, and except the oil pressure, pressures, temperatures, noises and vibrations are ok...very strange in fact...unless the indicators of the dashboard are wrong.
Many little things here and there are also to be checked or changed, but nothing serious really.
So, the first step will be to find out about this oil, then dismantle, clean and tune the carbs, the ignition and the distribution. In fact a general overhaul to bring the engine back to a good and safe condition, prerequisite to some deeper checks and repairs if necessary.
Alright..all for now..A bit disappointing...but after all, these kind of enigmas make these old ladies even more...fascinating

Today I found the water leak, it's at the thermostat, one hose is leaking.
I suppose the oil pressure is too high because of a stuck pressure valve at the oil pump.

Anyway Tahiti will be in good hands soon and thoroughly checked.

Thanks a lot for this great week-end in Switzerland Raymond. Fantastic !

Tahiti couldn't be in better hands ..a bit frustrating not to be able to work with you guys, but once I'm back in Europe, I sure will hang around the garage
I have some other nice pics of the two cars, but can't compress the damn files from this computer to post them tonight..will send you some tomorrow.

Oh I forgot...for Alex : I tried the ''driving a Countach backward excercise''...a small half for checking the way, and a big half for the show...cooool Emilio, you should try this !..

hi guys, i am here again
nice pics, did you sold your jalpa raymond?

just for the common countach problems, we found one of the cooling pipe in my car was ready to break up...luckily in time(surprisingly all others are pretty new...) and the front bonnet doesn't close anymore....but we are solving all

the test driver told me the car runs very well after the works and carbs tuning
bye eric and raymond see you soon

Hi Emilio .. nice to see you again Sorry to hear about the few problems on your car..
Raymond, it is obvious on the picture of the garage that the rear of your car is much higher than Tahiti. I've seen this also on the race track last week. Also, the front is much lower. I doubt it is because of the P0's. Is it because of the Konis ?
