Steve's post is on the money. Unless you buy one that has just been done and spend the time to have it checked out, you could be in for alot of $$$. In the Countach world the old saying " you get what you pay for " is so true.

I've owned 2, and will buy another but you have to know going in, it is costly. It is true that once done you will have a good car that besides oil changes wont need much.

I would say the big thing is to know exactly what has been done before you buy and just know that the rest is on you.....and it will need to be done.

tonylambo,

I see you have a DMC-12 in your garage as well. Im am an owner and a delorean enthusiast. Does that car get much use? Also, why did you get rid of your lambos at one point?

I'm looking for a european 85-88' countach QV. Thats my favorite countach. Although i have heard some say that the anniversary is more sought after and is technically a better car. Im not a fan of the chrysler restyling touches. Whats your take on this?

The 25th is for sure the better Countach than a QV, but the styling is not that good as on the earlier cars.
Gandini and Artioli said: "once again we succeeded in not destroying the shape of the Countach", well for many the 25th has too much pastic.
But technically the car was improved everywhere, some things like the smaller luggage compartment is not good but they solved other problems by putting the ignition and relais box into the trunk.
Especially if the car has the sports seats it's a great driver, I was driving one last Saturday after I installed my Ignition box. It was a carbed car but the sound was very familiar to the Diablo, I was really surprised...

If you don't hate the looks take a 25th, in Europe are many carbed 25th...
If you want the pure body of the countach take a QV downwards.

If you know of any of the national concours cars, my Delorean is #6041 the 2003 national first place car. I have owned it since new and it still has the window sticker in it. It and I have been in 5 different delorean magazines over the past 10 years. It has about 600 miles on it and is not driven much. The 2 Countach's I've owned went like this: I sold the white one that was a driver not a show car, to buy the red one that was a show car and won the 2003 Lamborghini Owners Club Concours with it. I sold it to help build the house I now have and was looking for another Countach when the phone rang about the Silhouette. I also would love a 86-87 White/White Carbed QV Countach, but it will be tough to part with the Silhouette. I have not found the one and only Lambo for me yet, it may be a Diablo or a 78-79 Low-body Countach, but even though it's the best built I am not a fan of the 25th Anniversary Countach.

Hi all!

Where are places to browse used c/t's? eBay and autotrader have lots of testarossa's, but few if any c/t's.

Thanks!

I would suggest joining the Jim Kaminskis Lamborghini Club if you are truely serious about purchasing one he can be reached at (727) 823-3536. There are other places like Exotics4less or the Dupont Registry (see attached link) however I can not vouch for either sources. Good Luck Sincerely Vic
