Question Countach in my future. Nervous about my fears. Thoughts please

I was reading the thread from Stickpit and found it interesting. My name is also Brian and I am 6 foot 2 inches. I'm expecting to purchase a Countach at some point but not as soon as Stickpit. I'm currently just beginning my real learning phase.
Thankfully I truly like all the Countach variations and colors so i believe my options will be better when the time is right. My only MUST have is a rear wing.
I'd like to know from different owners about height restrictions. I've wanted this car for 19 years so its not a whim. I truly feel there should be one in my driveway someday.
My intentions are this. ENJOY my car. I will not garage it for a decade because it was expensive. I have read that they are plagued with problems but I wonder is that the fault of the car or the owner? (no offense if yours has had problems). One magazine even put a countach in the top 10 worst cars of all time. DON'T care. still want one.
Sadly i don't know anyone that can connect me with a countach owner that i could truly feel the space limits of the car. I don't mean to drive there car but just sit in and take a deep breath. Perhaps request a ride. So I figure that all of you are the best resource i can get.

Thanks for your time. sorry about the lengthy message.
-Brian

Have had a few minor problems with mine, but nothing like some of the horror stories you hear. At 6' 2" though, the CT may be a bit tight for you. The rearwards adjustment on the driving seat doesn't go back that far, and the car is also short on headroom. First thing you need to do before buying is to try one for size to see if you fit in it.

A wing ??..what a strange idea ...endless debate
Welcome to the Dark Side Brian. I would suggest you contact RoyToy from Cats on this Forum. He's in Seattle, but it's worth the trip from where you are. Roy is nuts, but he sure is the very best on the whole American continent

Hello Brian,

This is Stickpit (I have just re-signed up under a new user ID)

Well I finally had a chance to sit in the car. I am like you, I have dreamed about owning a Countach for ever.

Man was my dream ripped apart. For me it was like sitting in a coffin when the door was shut. I had no shoulder room and headroom, forget about it, I had to tilt my head a little off center to fit.

I felt like Baby Huey.

Well, I went home and sat in my garage that is totaly covered with Countach posters and had to drink a few cold ones to figure out my next move.

Well I am happy to say that I am back into the saving mode and am saving up for my first Lambo which to my suprise will not be the Countach but instead will be a Gallardo.

Good luck, maybe the experience will be different for you.

Brian.
