Well I finally had a chance to sit in the car. I am like you, I have dreamed about owning a Countach for ever.

Man was my dream ripped apart. For me it was like sitting in a coffin when the door was shut. I had no shoulder room and headroom, forget about it, I had to tilt my head a little off center to fit.

I felt like Baby Huey.

Well, I went home and sat in my garage that is totaly covered with Countach posters and had to drink a few cold ones to figure out my next move.

Well I am happy to say that I am back into the saving mode and am saving up for my first Lambo which to my suprise will not be the Countach but instead will be a Gallardo.

Good luck, maybe the experience will be different for you.

Brian.
How tall are you? This car is not designed for big people. (over 6'1")

I'm 5'7" and it fits me great.

I am 6ft, 200, very fit build. No problems fitting. At 240 you might have width issues, not height issues.

I could be wrong, but isn't there a tall guy seat conversion for the countach. I thought I read a few adds that mentioned "Has tall person seat conversion".

I have a 25th anniv. that I have installed Sparco seats into for more headroom. I am 6'1" and around 230lbs. Fit in stock seats fine, but have a better fit with the Sparco's. Still looking to buy? Might have to sell mine soon... Lets talk...

Disappointment ???

I can relate. I went a zillion years until I finally acquired a Vincent (and actually a for-real Shadow at that ) . What a limp.

Actually my response to my Ford GT similarly emulates the design of the land mass of Florida but thats another story.

I sat in a 25th and I also sat in a 1987 QV. For me, I'm short and stalky. I'm only 5'7 so I would actually have to move the seat up! LOL! I fit fine in the car. I found the clutch a bit stiff, but hey, its an old car what do you expect!

For me, I'm "trying" to find a Countach with out the wing! I think they look cleaner and more exotic from the side with out the wing. But if your looking for the wing, not to worrie. Most of them have the wing. Or guys are now putting the wing on. Its a $5,000,00 option so they can ask more for the car.

Cheers
