Oooops, wanted to write FI was milder, In regards to when Lambo introduced the ZF I don't know. One of the most exhilarating sensations is to floor a carburated QV, all those accelerator pumps - you hit warp speed - and there is a "chirping" sound – FI, instead is progressive – like a 747 taking off

The changes of the dashboard is done on my car (May 1986) if you look into the parts book they changed also the suspension (from chassis 910 on).

There is a special part booklet from chassis 910 on, it contains changes of pedals, steering, air conditioning and heater (Alex mentioned), rear suspension, instruments (dashboard), inner coverings (interior panels) and finally the complete air flow steering now made by low pressure valves.

I never found a parts book for the 1988,5 but again Alex is right, they got the AC control like it was still used on the Diablos and the side skirts, of course many other changes I don't know.

BTW Gearbox was changed with chassis 760, parts book TAV 14.

My problem in Switzerland is octobre 1986, from that date on all new cars had to have catalysts which cancelled imports of countachs built after 1.10.1986, even the 25th was never officially imported to switzerland, some dealers like Bobnar bought FI-US Cars in California and registred them on own costs.

When Frank Sinatra got his Miura S in 1970, he said: “If you wanna be someone, buy Ferrari - If you are someone, you own a Lamborghini”.

I don't know how he did it, he told me it was a incredible procedure to get the two FI cars registred...
Something is strange, it's written first registration 2003, but in the german text is written: last expertise is from 10.2002...
This is a strange mismatch since you cannot expertise a car which was not registred.

Whenever I've seen the car it had always the dealer plates installed (SO-303-U), never with a normal licence plate.

Quote:
1st registred in 2003. 1 owner, 8'500 km. Specially built by the factory for the 50th anniversary of Max Bobnar. 500 hp, carburettor, sport-exhaust. Special paint. Professionally mounted 4-point seat-belts. Swiss road-homologation. Swiss papers.
I think I have the same cams in my car

How is the earlier Countachs, like 81 or so? Are they much or any slower, anything to watch out for? Are they worth anything less than a newer Countach?

81 are slow compared to older and newer, 340 hp against 375 - 455 hp
(lp 400, 5000s - qv, 25th)
newer are more reliable from what i heard by owners, most 25th

What should a 81 Countach be worth - in good condition, some paint chips in the original fair paint. New tires, clutch 2000 miles. 17,000 total miles. I looked up on the nada values & they listed the high at $59,900. Of course he wants 10K more (US Dollars) & says He is firm. Is the nada book that far off?
