Default 25th Anniv thoughts and Questions

Since I was 7 years old I've wanted a Lamborghini and finally at 28 I can get one...the question is: which one? Gallardo or 25th Countach. I fully understand that the 2 cars couldn't be more different but knowing me logic won't enter into this process as passion will likely be the driving force.

The only 25th's I've seen have been White, Red, or Black...did they make any that ended up in the US in other colors? Where can I find the specs (length, width etc) on the car? What issues and maint costs do I have to be prepared for?

Thanks for any help/advice! Be Safe.

25th came also in yellow, blue, gray.... i have seen a purple one and a green....

one is a new car, the other is a 16 years old, almost a classic:
it really depends on what you are searching for

my advise if you go for the 25th is:

-buy the best you find
-buy a driven car with regular maintanance
-drive the car before buyng it, you could love or hate it
-stay away from car that are sitting still in a garage from 10 years, even if they look superb

p.s.
for the spec use the registry

In your position I would buy a Gallardo.

Much less problems to maintain and drive, new technology, warranty, no emission issues...

Don't get me wrong I love the countach and will never sell mine, but for you as a first lambo the Gallardo is the better choice ime.

Shaun:

I'm more of an "old school" Lambo person. I'd get the Countach.

One of the best examples I have ever seen is our very own Lambo-Talk person Roy Cats. He has a GORGEOUS 25th anniversary for sale right now. In a very, VERY rare color.

Well, red was the most popular color on a Lamborghini in the late eighties. I remember a color scheme stating the different colors and how popular they were. White came third I think. So I doubt that his red 25th is VERY rare...

yess this is the best advice... go for the G.. then think of one of the olders a little down the road....

i started with a 92 diablo.... and i had no idea what i was getting into.... i could be married with house and children right now... and it would be cheaper than my adiction to lambo's....looool
keep that in mind

I understand the G is a great car. But, with the prices of the Countach starting to move upwards quickly, it is possible that within five years a nice Countach may trade for the same as a new G and M ( at the same time).
You may in other words find yourself on the outside looking in.
Not likely you say? Just look at what has happened to the Muira over the last couple of years.

If you chose the CT. I would second the suggestion that you buy the best, most well maintained, least used car you can find.

With respect to the cost of maintenance I would guess that over the longer term you should budget $3-5K per year on average depending on how much and how hard you drive it.
