Default Jalpa Import/Export

Does anyone know of any issues with international import or export of the Jalpa. My understanding is that they made one spec and therefore should be no issue.
Any thoughts?

Thanks,

There are at least 3 different specs:
-European: no cat, no airpump
-swiss: no cat, air pump, rubber bumper
-US: cat, airpump and box around the carbs

My car doesn't have the thing on the door for DOT I don't think but will have to double check. It must be up to each individual state as far as what car can go in?

Jeff,

Can you tell me # of your car. I had 191, which was a Canadian car until 2001. I imported from Montreal. I had the seller a small dealer write Lamborghini SPA, which inturn send a one page paper saying the car was built to US Specs.

Also what might help you is: I did some research when I bought that car and Lamborghini only made a North American Model not a US and a different Canadian model...so as long as the car in question is not a gray market Canadian car you should be fine!

Hope that helps.

If you need more information you can PM me and or talk to Bill Kropac the current owner of my car. He has the DOT and EPA paperwork on car #191 with the Lamborghini contact information on it.

David
