Here are a couple of Jalpa spec references:
http://www.lamborghiniregistry.com/Jalpa/index.html
http://home.earthlink.net/~laust/jalpa.htm

Btw, the OEM wheels are OZ (not Campagnolo) and also relevant for tire size, the speedometer is driven off the (right) front wheel.

We will have to figure out the stock tires diameter and buy a larger /taller wheel tire combo to replicate the height so it won't rub I guess.
How do you post pictures...I have a couple shots too.

there used to be a website that documented that white cars restoration but its since disappeared... i know hes in the texas lamborghini club though...

as far as posting pictures, when you reply to something, there is a little button that says "manage attachments" or something like that... just click that and upload them in the new window that pops up! if you cant, email them to me at shadeone at yahoo dot com and ill post em for you!

as far as i know they are the compomotive knockoffs from http://www.usacomp.com/vt.htm

however, they arent some piece of junk wheel, they are a very decent alternative... compomotive has been around for a long time!

i LOVE the Compomotive wheels. the stock Jalpa wheels make the car look like it was built from an 80s corvette. i would stay with 16s myself. 17s will be a big change to the set up of the car.

There are many more tires available for 17” wheels and for whatever width is chosen, it is possible to choose an aspect ratio, which results in a diameter that is fairly close to the OEM tire. The biggest change to the “set-up” is really in going to a wider tire and maybe different rubber compound.

With 265/45-16 racing tires (Kumho VictoRacer V700) on the rear (widened OEM rims to 10”) my Jalpa handles exemplary well (and predictably) on the racetrack and obviously also on the street.
