Default 88 Jalpa rear tire size

What is the correct rear tire size for the Silhoutte/88 Jalpa? 285/40/14? What other sizes fit?

If the Jalpa has silhouette wheels the correct size is 285/40/15

It is possible to fit the Countach spec 345's but the wheels then have too much tyre overhang.

Yokohama made a batch in about 2003 but Pirelli refuse all requests to make them.

The telphone dial wheels of the CT are 12" wide as the Silhouette has 11".

345 will hardly fit under the wheel arches, there is a dutch Jalpa with Countach rims and tires, wonder how they managed to put them on.

Mine has the 345/35/15 Countach tires, and yes it can rub. Any other size smaller that anyone knows of?

Take a look around www.tirerack.com . They seem to have an extensive listing of tires. I have seen 335's and 315's, but they usually come in 17" or 18" diameter rims.

In 15" the choice is very limited, as far as I know Pirelli produces only the 345/35/15. Yokohama stopped production as well, therefore all Pantera and Silhouette owners have a problem as well as all these tuned german car with wide bodies from Rieger Tuning, all of them used the 285 on the front...

It has the Silhoutte wheels (phone dial) on it, which look like early Countach wheels.
