Hey guys,
I am thinking about buying a Miura one of these days, I don't really know much about it so if you can tell me things to look out for, how much it should cost and so on, I'd appreciate it. Last edited by Lambo-Crazy : 04-16-2005 at 09:27 AM. Reason: spelling |

Hi,
I really don't want to be offending but you should know about more about Lambos and especially Miura's than just plan to buy one. A wrong buy can become a nightmare, they are beautiful cars but like beautiful women they need a lot of attention. I can remember that a good restoration at Bobileff for example costs $200k, depending on the state of a car the price of an SV can be around $400K. If you really want to spend that much money for an oldtimer car is a question you have to ask yourself and be sure before you sign a contract. If you don't know cars by heart take somebody with you who knows them, for example Bobileff to check the car. Of course he will bill you for this, but in the end this will cost you much less than buying the wrong one.

You can start here with your research :
http://www.lamborghini-talk.com/vbfo...splay.php?f=40 then there are about 2-3 good Miura sites with additional details and about 8-10 Miura owners on LTalk when you start getting into the really detailed questions that generally only owners can answer. Also, if you dig into the Old LTalk we had several long, indepth talks about Miuras. The site owner here owns an award winning Miura so I'm sure he could help also. |

If you're serious about owning a Miura, I can suggest a number of places you can do some research on the cars.
http://www.qv500.com/indexlamborghini2.htm http://www.lamborghiniregistry.com http://www.miuraregister.com http://www.web-cars.com/miura/index.html There are many things to consider when buying one, so one of the best things you can do is to educate yourself on the variations. As a general rule, higher serial # cars command more money, but so much of the price is linked to condition. |
