Default Miura

This is my first post here. I am a member of Ferrarichat and now a member here. I've been restoring my Ferrari 246GTS, and have been posting pic. So far I've done most of the work myself. I recently purchased Miura S #4091 to start working on when I finish the Dino. At this point I know very little about Miura's except next to the Dino they are my all time favorite car. If I do a complete restoration, mostly myself doing the work is it worth it or advisable to make an SV out of it. I really like the looks of the rear fenders and wider wheels. I realize there is much more to it than that. This one is currently black (original color orange) The headlights are wrong in that they are in a fixed position like a Jota It has a wood steering wheel which I thought were on earlier cars. It has pretty much sat for the last 14 years. I'm not doing it to sell, just my hobby. Any comments or advice would be appreciated.

Two great cars. Good luck on ther restoration. You'll get more useable advice here than on F-Chat.

Congrats on having two of the sexiest cars ever built.

With respect to the Lambo, if given the choice, I would probably restore it back to it's original glory.

The most important thing though, is how would you like to restore it?

Regardless of what anyone says:
*You are the one doing the work.
*You are the one spending both money and time to bring it back to life.
*You will probably be the only one to drive it.

Make it right for you, and if somebody else doesn't like it........
let them build their own.

WOW!!!!!!!!!

I know that pics don't tell the whole story but that car looks pretty impressive as it sits. Whatever your plans, you have started with what appears to be a very together car and I suspect you will save time and huge dollars as a result.

B.T.W. I think I remember seeing some headlight parts a week or two ago on EBAY.

put it back to original shape

these cars are so rare and beautiful, they deserve to be put original back
and of course it will be worth more in its pure S form

p.s. i have two original vitaloni mirrors, brand new if you are interested in changing from your countach' ones

I've decided to restore it as is, an S with no modifications. There will be a color change to Miura verde, but not sure what interior goes with that.
