The biggest cost factor in this is always the work you need to applicate the wax, I needed 2 days for my car...
It makes a noticable difference on the bright colors. And a minor difference on the darker colors. We have so far done an orange (big difference) and a black (just alittle deeper look). I'm curious how it will look on my pearl yellow LP. The color is already very very bright and shiny.

As far as the time required. If you follow the instructions and first wash the car, then pre-wax (with HD), then apply the Royale (waiting 10 minutes for each 2-3 sf section to set and dry) it take a REALLY long time to do the exterior. It took my guy about 7 hours to appy all the products properly on each car.

Don't be too upset Jorge...no offence from anyone I think. And yes, you're right, if you can afford it, there is no reason you shouldn't go for it...As you said, $$ value depends on a lot of things....and there is nothing to be blamed for or jealous of, or ashamed of...just like me owning the ultimate useless 25 year old car which worth more than 10 years of food for the whole family living just next door...and the guy next block trying to convince me a 2 million dollar a year budget is more than reasonnable for his private jet...
But still...$7000..it sure must be a good one (just joking..)

Not upset, just surprised that someone who has no idea about my financial status could tell me that my purchase decision was ridiculous. Everything is relative. And sometimes the BEST can be expensive and overpriced. The same comments made about the wax can be said about our 300k cars.

What wax are you using, and did you use the pre-wax?

I made the entire application, washing, pre wax cleaner and then waxing.
I used the Swizol onyx wax.

I found on the internet a legal case between swizol and zymol, swizol (Anwander) has developped the product in 1932 (swiss patented) and zymol got delivered, later they had issues because of quality and similar occurance of their products.

I don't know about the refill rules in the States but I read on a forum over here in Europe that packing/postage is not included in the refill deal.
But than again you get a free refill of the best wax there's supposed to be out there.
Might be marginal difference but hey, different people have different opinions on what's "value for money".
Still strange to me you need to wax it twice a month. A good quality wax is supposed to last a little bit longer while maintaining the shine, IMO.

I wax waxing twice a month with a different product. I'm probably going to use the Zymol wax once a month.

Ever thought of a protection coating and/or clear-bra to protect against stone chips ?
I always wondered how the different waxes would work on top of such a coating / protection layer.

I use a coating in the front of my cars called acculear (basically a clear bra). We apply wax on it and it looks great.

Some people are really anal about perfection. I don't blame him.. if I had the needs, I'd do the exact same thing.
