Dear Lamborghini Owners,

I am a filmmaker, who is in love with extremes. I recently shot a shortmovie called Carved about extremecarving, a crazy new snowboardstyle. What was unique about this project, that we used the brand new RED ONE digital filmcameras, delivering world's first highspeed 120fps footage of this sport and screened the whole movie in a digital theatre in Geneva, before offering a download in a variety of formats. I financed this project together with the Director Of Photography.

I friend of mine just wrote me, that he was legal access to an unopened highway in Germany for filming purposes. It is a quite unique situation, the highway is finished, but not opened to public yet. The opportunity window is here till the 10th of September.

Now, I am wondering, how many of you would be interested in participating in a little event on this very highway. Given that I get all the permissions for that, i would solve the liability issue (for the highway, not for your cars), I would have filmcrews around, that would document this. I am of course thinking of a little time racing and speedtests.

The screening of the finished film, could then be held in almost any digital theatre, and of course a Bluray/DVD or download would be available for those who participated. Please note, that this is not a video-project, but an advanced camera system, so the quality would be as if it was shot on 35mm film.

Keep in mind, that this idea is in its very genesis. I am trying to seize an opportunity, that seems to be quite unique to me and to combine my love to filmmaking with something wonderful like Lamborghini cars to create an visual experience extraordinaire, and share it with those who participated. A very own movie about you and your Lamborghini, so to speak.

You would have the opportunity to push your cars to the limits on a highway, without necessarily beeing a public risk. (Yes, I saw the youtube videos, some of you did ). You could meet interesting people, and later, see yourself, your car and the performance of the car on a big screen, and then take it home to your PS3/Bluray player.


A lot of what this can become depends on your feedback.

The location of the highway is in Bavaria, Germany, close to the Czech border. The event could be around end of August.

There would be a submission fee, that would cover the expenses for organizing this event and the production of the documentary. Note, that the filming of Lamborghinis racing on the RED ONE system is the main reason, I would want to organize that, so there are a lot of costs involved, that need to be covered.

Let me know, what you think of this idea, and how much you would be willing to pay in order to participate. The event can scale from 2 cars up to ... well lets see.. :-D. Your interest will determine the final costs, but this will be discussed here further. Also, any suggestions and wishes, are welcomed.
