Default WOW What a buyers market

Not that anybody needs me to point this out, but for those, smart enough to put off their purchase, it sure is looking good out there. Just as an indicator, I don't think I've ever seen as many cars on E-Bay. I'd love to get my hands on a few more Diablos....That red SV Roy has listed, and that Orange 6.0 at Lambo Dallas are killing me. Good thing I don't have the room, or enough attention to pay to all of them.

Makes you wonder, with gas at $4.00 and over, housing, and the stock market in the tank, There's going to be allot of cars sitting for a while.

Yeah, I agree. I'm betting even the new 2008s Gs can eventually be purchased close to or at invoice. Call me crazy, but with all the issues you mentioned, plus the new LP560 hitting the showrooms in June, I'm guessing corporate will be pushing dealers to move the 08s. Besides, where I live, we just got more snow and ice....I have nothing but time. After months of research I know exactly what I want, and there are tons of choices out there, so just waiting for the best deal/car.

It is a buyers market on certain cars...the Gallardos and the Murcies..

BUT not on the early cars...espically the 6.0 cars...as of late they have been creeping back up again...and espically the 97-99 Roadsters..

The last month and half the roadsters have really jumped......

I do think the Gallardo will stay low, espically with the new version set to hit June/July here...

But the Murcie I think is temporary, very temporary..with the new 09 going to hit well over 375K base due to being equiped with ONLY CF brakes...well not only is that pricey, but a lot of folks DO NOT want CF brakes..AND since it has been shown with several dyno tests, including one I did with mine...show 02/ 03 cars at the same and a BIT more HP at the wheel with higher tq...why would you not buy that car at 200K..

Just my 2 cents..

Nobody could argue with your knowledge of the market Roy, I'm just wondering if, say a dealer has Mucielago's and Gallardo's that are moving slow, might they feel pressure to let a roadster or 6.0 in their inventory go cheaper just to create some revenue? I mean it is business.

from now on Diablo prices can go through the roof
But yes, I can see prices for the Gallardo dropping further, and early Murciélago's too... I can imagine they will rise again once they are close to 10 years old, though I really doubt they'll be worth more than a Countach or Diablo in say 10 years...

I agree, from a numbers stand point, but It will be interesting to see what kind of "supercars"...if there is such a thing will be produced in 10 years. Certainly not even close to the cars today, and no matter what they call them, they won't be in comparison. That will give stability and a rise to the current day car's.

Well, given the "vast" numbers of cars being produced today at Lamborghini, let alone Ferrari, the rarer, purer cars tend to appeal more to the enthousiast...
The Diablo 6.0 is already worth more than early Murciélago's

And with the new requirements on emissions, noise, warranty and so on, we probably won't see anything really outrageous anymore
