Default ONLY :Authorized" Dealers allowed on the Lamborghini Giro...

So I have been doing the Lamborghini Giro that ends in Monterrey for the last three years. This year, again I signed up, paid in FULL $5k approx 6 weeks ago. Got all my confirmation letters and info back from them, thanking me for my promt payement etc etc etc..

I planned and made my Hotel reservations for the two day trip down from Seattle to the Start of the Giro, this year in Lake Tahoe California. My Daughter just turned 21 in June and I was taking her for her Birthday Present. The last several times my son went with me. She has always wanted to go and I told her she had to wait till she was 21 to go with me. We were all set and I was really looking forward to spending the time with my Duaghter. She was going to stay with me all through the Monterrey-Pebble Beach Concourso.

So today my phone rings, Lamborghini on the line...

Hi how are you, great, I have bad news for you...

"We are only allowing AUTHORIZED DEALERS on the Giro so that they may bond and further their relationships with current Lamborghini owners. You are not an AUTHORIZED DEALER so you are not welcome to come on the Giro. We will refund your money paid within 3-7 days.

HUMMM, I paid, you took my money 6 weeks ago, I have bought at least 3 NEW Lamborghini's in MY OWN name for MY own use from TWO different AUTHORIZED DEALERS in the last 4 years...Guess I am not a customer.

Oh well...you all have fun on the run, it will be a great time I am sure as it always is...

See you in Monterrey in the NON AUTHORIZED DEALER corner LOL

I think I can top Roy's experience with this one...I've gone on the Giro 2 out of the last 3 years, as KEVIN and no affiliation with any dealer. Bought a brand new LP640 from Bellevue Lamborghini as well, which had to sell due to some unforeseen circumstances.

I paid my deposit via credit card several weeks ago, got my confirmation e-mail and was set to go. Made my hotel reservations, etc. Wife made accomodations to have her place managed for the week we were going to be gone, scheduled a sitter for the dogs...the whole nine.

I didn't even GET a phone call or an e-mail stating I was no longer going...I had to hear about it from Roy! What would've happened if I simply showed up thinking everything was fine? Oh sorry mr kevin, but we cancelled you?

To make matters worse, I've recently become a very active part of Lamborghini Club in the NW...promoting the club, the people, and the cars...part of "sharing" the Lambo passion with the club is to attend the Giro and other club events!

All I can say is I'm shocked and amazed. I'm biting my tongue and not saying what I really want to say....so suffice to say it wouldn't be polite.

Wow, what bull****.

I would say go anyways, it seems like everything is at your own expense anyway. Follow the stream of Lambo's and enjoy the drive down with your family. Can always do something else when you get down to the end of the route.

That is a good question, but it sounds like they are saying, "you're not welcome AT ALL."

I paid with my own personal credit card...in my name, reservation under my name...and I don't even get a courtsey call or e-mail? I'm beside myself on this one. Just beside myself. I think it's BS...but I better stop there before I say something I can't take back.

Kevin

This is really disappointing behavior on Lamborghini's part. Is this line of bull from Lamborghini NA or from Italy?

If it is from Lamborghini NA, does Italy know about it? If they do, and they are allowing it, it is really unfortunate.
