You've got to wonder if Audi is tempted to sell the brand now that it's on a roll as opposed to hanging on too long.
That was one of the things that crossed my mind also.

Then there's the question of AUDI's vision for the future.

I see Lamborghini as still being in existance, but will it be anything we will recognize?

The gasoline issue is abother problem that isn't likely to go away either. Abd R&D on building new & faster supercars might put a crimp in Lamborghinis recent profits. Then there's the issue of parts sharing between Lambo & Audi? At some point will they still be Lamborghinis?

I think the answer is quite simple (wow, that sounds pretty arrogant): look at this site. You've got a couple of thousand people, let's say a hundred thousand world wide, who are nuts about Lambo's and are able to eventually buy one. Since the mid '90's (since internet evolved) these people are connected. This was not the case in the late 70's, 80's and early 90's. In those days I guess most of us were Lambo fans too, but we didn't know what the hell was happening. Nevertheless: Lambo survived, there was always some 'suit' with enough love for cars that said: 'we can't let this die.'
Even if Audi lets go, the company will still survive. There's just too much love for these cars. In this day and age it would only take a few American, European and Asian enthusiasts/millionaires to get it going again.
And for the time being: Lamborghini is making a profit !
Thank you Roy !
