Default New to forums, wanted to ask a question

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forums, but I wanted to get some more information. I came across this gas cap

part number 400 201 587 A.

I was curious if this a standard OEM gas cap or if this goes to a specific model?

Thank you.

George Evan's sold a gas cap like that a few years ago as a replacement for the stock or lost cap.

Same here...looks like belongs to my LP560...Speaking of gas caps, am I the only one who feels like only the Hulk can twist the cap off? LOL. I swear sometimes i sit there for a minute trying to twist that thing off.

Same - looks just like my cap (09 LP560)

I agree on twisting it off - but if I put it on with just the right pressure it's not bad getting it off. If hubby puts it on - usually he uses more pressure and then I have a heckuva time getting it off.

I do love that it is very heavy and feels like a precision machined, very high quality gas cap (as opposed to the cheap plastic stuff on every other car).

Thanks for the information guys. No, it wasn't found at a gas station, but since its not a typical plastic gas cap that's attached I imagine people probably do that fairly often.

Since nobody is asking the obvious questions....

So where did you get the gas cap?
Why would you want it?

And where is the rest of the car?
