It's a good start. Most guys wives I know would bitch and piss and moan if the guy even bought one of those models. They would be like, "Pfffftt. What the hell are you wasting money on that junk for?" and the throw it on the ground.
At least she's positive about your interests and you know she would buy you the real deal if she could.
