Yeah, you would be faster, if she like- freakin gives you headstart, or races you backwards, actually, even then, she prolly would need to combine the two and than you would stand a chance. Yeah, so anyways, the SL65 has way too much torque, for you too beat your wife. 750+ and without a chip I heard 220 easily within reach, need tires changed though, but the SL pulls like crazy. You know, if we ever have a meet, remind me to give you a ride to show you what I mean, do not underestimate SLs, they may be heavey, but they have a punch. Although I must say the Murcielago would be in Hot Pursuit... possibly follwed by a Crown Victoria black and white. CL65s are amazing as well, I looked at them, but figured I need not the extra seats in the back, nor the other 100K price tag above the SL600 wasn't to inviting. My next car is either a MRGT, or SL65, or if ever made an E65. Waiting.

Last time I checked I believe the Murcie. does 0-60 in 3.6 and a SL65 does it in 4.0. 0-100 for Murcie is 8.7 and for SL65 is 8.3. 1/4 for Murcie is 12.0 and for SL65 is 12.0. Well, it looks like this race would be all about driver skill. It looks like I did understimate the SL65. I hope they make a E65. Oh, and I would love to take you up on your offer, but I am in NJ. Information about my SL600 has been pending. However, after beating that Porsche 911 Turbo, which does 3.9 to 60 and 12.0 for 1/4, I have no doubts about its acclaimed 3.6 to 60, and its 11.7 for 1/4 mile. The numbers you put up must have been with ESP on, it would be a close race, but not to insult anyones vehicle, I think the SL6 would win it. We should find out, when we have a meet. I bring the 6, someone bring the Murcielago, I have always wanted to race one.

BTW: SL600 is faster than SL65, due too the 65s MASSIVE amount of torque, it won't grip. I haven't been able to prove this because I can't find one strolling about, but I'll let you know on it.

Beat a Turbo, nice. I think that your SL600 will beat a Murcie. The 65 does have too much torque to grip, I say mercedes should put more HP to balance it out

It's really a Mercedes. The heart of a car is the engine. The front even looks like a Merc. An ex Lambo man who should have stayed.

The Zonda is only a little quicker to 100mph with a little xtra top speed for £300,000 when you can have the SEXIER Murcielago for £170.000 plus in the UK you can't drive the C12S on most tracks due the the local noise laws(see Autocar mag 04)

I had disliked the rear end of the Zonda but I like this a lot better. Plus
they've done a lot of aero work on the original Zondas with much benefit
as detailed in the article.
