Over the years I have had raw concrete, tile, painted and most recently an epoxy based "flaked" floor coverings in my garages.

I'm specfically thinking that I would like tile again for my next garage. Does anyone have any suggestions along these lines of what I should be considering?

All that paint stuff is crap. You need a FLOOR. www.racedeck.com -- I know it holds up superb over the *years*. Simple to install, just snap the 12"x12" tiles together like a puzzle.

Nature Stone worked best for my garage floor. I had several large cracks in my floor that they sealed before applying the Nature Stone. Water does not puddle on the flooring, very easy to clean plus it comes with a life time warranty.

Where do you get info on that Nature Stone? I googled it but got mostly tile & granite companies - no mention of garage flooring.

I work for the Home Depot . We have floor installers that have that type of in formation. Just a few of the stores sale that type of flooring. It goes by demographics.

I also use the Tire Cradle when I park the car the for more than a week to avoid flat tire spots

Only The Extreme Win!

I'm going on 8 years now with Industrial Tile in my garage and it still looks as good as new ..It's basically the same tile you find in the grocery stores . I haven't had it waxed of cleaned in over 3 years

2004 Pearl Orange Gallardo

We don't have Racedeck here in the UK but I have used a similar snap together rubber 12" tile in my garage. It's cheap, looks great and keeps the garage warmer and drier. I did 3 car bays in about 4 hours - it was actually very satisfying to do (which is sad to admit isn't it?!). Absolutely no preparation needed either.....

Racedeck seemed to be a good temporary solution - like trade shows etc. I was always concerned with the snap together stuff as it seems to be an easy collector of dust and dirt. Oil and coolent type spills means I have to rip the tiles up to clean - doesn't it???

My current garage is flaked epoxy (like the attached pic) and very easy to clean, looks good. Seems very similar (at least in finish) to Nature Stone - which is at: http://www.naturestone.cc/

Permanent tiles are what I'm thinking of right now...

Depends on what kind of a garage. A working garage should have the Epoxy paint, if it's a show room then the tiles would be better.
