In doing so it just occurred to me that what would be real useful to all of us if we had a rating feedback system where owners put up positive or negative comments of their experience at a dealership. In order for this to be effective multiple entries per dealer would be required to insure that somebody does not "sandbag" a dealer. For service comments a requirement is you must own a Lamborghini. This type of feedback system is common on the web for suppliers (e.g. electronic items) these days. If there is sufficient contribution I will put up a section on www.lamboweb.com.

Questions that come to mind are:-
Should it list positive and/or negative comments?
Should it have a score or +++ system or actual comments
Should the owner be required to add his/her name or initials?
Should it be worldwide or US only
Should the dealer be allowed to comment?

Would like to get feedback on this. First on the concept etc. let’s hold off on comments on dealers for now.

i am a "future" Lambo buyer, so i have no comments on the dealership situation. however, what i read will affect where my hard earned cash will go. i have had 3 ferrari's in the last year or so, and own 2 now. just dont hold that against me . i did want to publicly thank you for posting that link to your site, as i did not know it existed. great site. Michael

I support your comments and that boards such as this can be a great place to share and gather data. like you I too visit them looking for and posting answers from time to time.

At the moment I am a bit perplexed..... I made two post late last night; one rather lenghty in response to "Speed2" and then another in repsonse to the good experience another member had during his purchase of an 04 Gallardo from Jonathan peck at Lamborghini of Dallas.

Both of these post were deleted and no mention of why was made. I have since PM's "Speed2" introducing myself, asking if he knew what happened, and the fact that I see it at censorship.... or at the very least the basis of a bias thread. To this PM I have received no reply.

I take the time read the threads, make comments when I feel I can contribute, do not attempt to ruffle feathers ............ and I do all of this as a long time owner of exotics. Can someone enligten me or even better yet.... have the two replies of mine that were removed placed back into this thread.

The basis of a quality thread is the sharing over time....... not simply a controlled data stream.

Now with regards to a scoring system of sorts based on one's "PERSONAL" experience with a dealership..... I think that this is a good idea. The results to some degree would be subjective however over time a pattern would develope.

Thank you all

Shadowman

I don't know what it is about cars like Ferrari's, Lambo"s, etc but buyers get all dreamy eyed and excited and want to feel like the dealer is his "friend".
Get over it! Unless your sharing a house with the guy he is not your friend. He is there to get as much money out of you and for his car as he can. Nothing wrong with that, its his job. If you are not up to the game you will get ripped. Your fault, not his. If there is a situation that develops where it will cost the dealer "more money", like when he breaks something on your car or whatever, you can be sure that he will do everything he can to minimize the cost on his side of the ledger and stick the rest to you. Now many of you may have nice working relationships with a dealer and maybe this dealer throws you a bone every so often and makes you "feel good". Well good for you. Just let a "money situation" develop and watch how your bud changes his attitude toward you. Hey you don't have to love the dealer to love the car. Love your wife and kids.
I've been on both sides...buying AND selling.
This guy is right. I am there to make money...obviously I want to maximize profits, but I also understand that if I crack you over the head, when you go to trade it in later, and find I cracked you, you'll NEVER come back again.

Personally, I don't think it unfair for a dealer to make $10K to $15K in profit on a $170K - 245K car...I've given it to them before...and I'd do it again!!!
My God people...once you're at that price range, does another $10K to $15K profit REALLY make a difference? Don't be so CHEAP!!! The guy's just trying to make a living ... can they make some money, too?

That's a lot of cash regardless.

My expereinces with LOD haven't been that awesome...in fact, I just had 7k worth of repairs that they "claim" they did prior to arrival...nothing appears to have been touched...7k !! after spending 200k on the car, it's still struggling to pass emmissions....I'll be sticking with Roy and some close by dealerships inthe future after this experience with LOD.
Not like there weren't Red Flags Flying!!!!!

But we're working on the Dealer Rating System Portion of the site and then everyone will have a chance to reveiw and compare.

I don't know how they are to deal with but I checked pricing on some models, and they are out of this world HIGH.

Boy DO I HAVE to take time off of my VACATION to set you ALL right!!!!!

Lamborghini Dallas HAD NOTHING to do with KAOSS car, I TAKE full responsability on that car, I BOUGHT IT and I SOLD it to KAOSS..if there is a issue with the car KAOSS call me and I will HAVE it corrected..........

DALLAS had nothing to do with the prior or after sell of this CATS EXOTIC vehicle.....

WOULD I do want to know KEVIN, is was LAMBORGHINI BELLEVUE able to fix ALL the issues you brought it to them for, THAT ARE ALL covered under warranty?

You did get your car back on Friday without costing you a dime?..CORRECT!

The issues should now be with ME>..........or the last AUTHORIZED lamborghini DEALERSHIP that can not CORRECT your WARRANTY items........

As I have stated numerous times in my here.....if you are NOT happy with the car....bring it back and I will give you a full refund.........this offers still stand for you as well KEVIN........When do you want to bring it back?

Ok, can I go back to sitting in the SUN now.........I WILL always stand behind my sales and will ALWAYS say what is true and what is NOT.......

In this case it is I that needs to be scolded and no others!!!!!

Roy is correct, Lambo of Bellevue was AWESOME !!! They got my car running top shape...my apologies if anyone misinterpeted my frustrations during my previous post regarding LOD....yes I bought my car from Roy, and he has stood behind the purchase 110% of the way...Lambo Bellevue diagnosed my car, found a ton of things that needed attention, through no one's neglect, just stuff that needed to be fixed, and went above and beyond to get the car fixed and running like a champ...If it weren't for Roy, his contacts, his reputation, and his passion for these cars, getting my car wouldn't have been possible...hopefully, this sets the record straight...Roy is, and does, willing to stand behind everything he sells....MY mistake was to not take my frustrations to him rather than discuss in the forum...Having said that, any NW guys need their Lambos serviced...Josh is your guy at Lambo Bellevue.

This is probably the truest statment ever made from someone who is not a factory dealer...Roy is well past top notch when it comes to taking care of his customers...I hope to be on board with Roy when he does get his dealership...that's my prediction...Lamborghini of Roy has that special ring to it !!!
